DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the vendor for various important initiatives like replacing our current EMR and scheduling system.
- Work closely with stakeholders, end users, vendors, and the implementation team to understand current workflows, identify requirements, and guide the configuration and implementation of the new system.
- Lead the discovery and documentation of current-state workflows, system dependencies, and pain points with users across departments.
- Lead requirements for workshops, interviews, and workflow observation sessions with clinical, operational, and technical teams to gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements for the new system.
- Translate requirements into clear, structured documents to guide system implementation and enhancements, workflow improvements, and reporting needs.
- Create the process mapping diagrams (e.g., BPMN), BRDs, User Stories with Acceptance Criteria, Use Cases and Use Case Diagrams etc.
- Conduct gap analysis, process modeling, and root cause analysis for existing processes and systems.
- Work with the project team to define project scope, success criteria, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead the implementation of process enhancements and new system functionality, ensuring requirements in alignment with business goals.
- Present insights, business cases, and progress updates to C-suite executives and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to support solution delivery and ensure business needs are met.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case creation, execution, and issue tracking.
- Assist in data migration planning and validation to ensure accuracy and continuity of care.
- Assist in developing training documentation and support change management efforts to ensure a smooth transition.

Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in the healthcare or clinical domain, with experience in EMR or scheduling systems.
- Proven experience in system replacement or large-scale IT transformation projects.
- Solid understanding of healthcare workflows, medical terminology, and regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS standards) along with EMR systems and scheduling workflows in healthcare environments.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including clinicians, administrative staff, and IT professionals.
- Familiarity with data migration, testing processes, and change management best practices.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent is preferred but not required.

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex clinical and business scenarios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
- Skilled in facilitation and elicitation techniques (interviews, workshops, observations).
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Visio, Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Understanding of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project methodologies.
