Elementary School Program Facilitator
Artshine is expanding and we're on the lookout for part-time French-speaking Program Facilitators in Halifax and area.
Job Description:
Join our team to inspire and engage young minds in our dynamic and educational mobile activity classes. As a Program Facilitator, you'll foster creativity, confidence, and a love for learning among students through our rich curriculum, all while having fun! Artshine is a pioneering mobile social enterprise dedicated to ensuring arts participation is accessible to individuals of all income levels, abilities, and life circumstances.
Advantages of the Job:
- Part-time work (2-10 hours per week, with potential for more based on your availability): ideal for stay-at-home parents, university students, part-time teachers, and child care professionals.
- Comprehensive curriculum and training in the ‘Artshine way’ are provided.
- Earn $30 - $35 per hour for facilitation time, $18 - $19 per hour for preparation & travel.

To be an Artshine Activity Facilitator you must:
- Speak French fluently (required for French positions)
- Have reliable transportation (Note: for this role you need a driver's license G and a vehicle since we are a mobile art school)
- Have experience working with children (preferred)
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Be available during lunch hours or after school during the week
- Be prepared to complete a Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
- NOTE: You do NOT need to be a trained artist to be a successful Program Facilitator with Artshine but we do welcome any applicants that are!
