THE ROLE
The Procurement Coordinator is in charge of planning and coordinating all procurement activities for the Base’s Personnel Support Programs (PSP).
Responsibilities will include the purchase and payment of all public and Non-Public Property (NPP) goods and services. He/she will coordinate invitations to tender, acquisition of material forms, reading of submissions, rental of facilities as well as maintenance, repair and verification of equipment. He/she will also perform regular inventory checks and proceed with recovery and/or write-off, as required. The Procurement Coordinator will be tasked with managing employees and supervising PSP sports stores. He/she will be responsible for applying NPF policies, procedures and regulations, and, as the Occupational Health and Safety representative and person in charge of the WHMIS, for ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety Program.
He/she will be responsible for preparing financial reports, which includes monitoring, recording and documenting financial transactions and commitments. The Procurement Coordinator will promote PSP activities and assist with the coordination of special events and marketing/sponsorship opportunities for NPP activities, if applicable.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Financial Management, Business Administration, Procurement or a related field AND some years of experience in Business Administration, Procurement or a related field

In applying policies, procedures, regulations, and applicable legislation
