Job Summary:

The Service Coordinator plays a critical role in the success of our Windsor Service Department by managing day-to-day operations, scheduling service crews, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of roofing services to our clients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple moving parts in a fast-paced environment. The Service Coordinator acts as the central point of contact between customers, field crews, and internal teams-keeping projects on track, customers informed, and records up to date.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Coordination:

  • Plan and schedule service projects in coordination with the service manager and operations team
  • Ensure all necessary materials, equipment, and manpower are available for scheduled projects
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines

Purchase Order Generation:

  • Create Purchase Orders (POs) based on the work orders and project requirements
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Track and manage POs to ensure budget compliance and project timelines

Quality Control:

  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the project
  • Ensure all safety protocols are being executed

Customer Relations:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding project updates and inquiries
  • Address customer concerns and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Conduct post-service follow-ups to ensure long-term satisfaction
  • Team Leadership:
  • Mentor and guide junior coordinators and other team members
  • Facilitate training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of project schedules, materials, and customer communications
  • Prepare reports on project status, budgets, etc.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth workflow and communication.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Service Coordinator, experience in the roofing industry preferred
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed

Work Environment:

  • Primarily office-based role with occasional site visits
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions and construction hazards
