Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual who has experience in the field of accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for data entry and assisting our main accountant with overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and role will. This role will require a strong background in accounting principles, analytical skills, and proficiency with accounting software.
DUTIES
- Entering daily journal/ledger entries and daily adjusting entries
- Assisting with Payroll, leave and ROE, and T4 tasks
- Assisting with Federal, Provincial Tax and duties remittances as well as CBSA filing
- Assisting with Internal reporting (sales, inventory turnover, etc)
- Invoicing and Payables
- Prepare bill payment reports
- Cost accounting for inventory receipts, reconciliation, and receiving
- Assisting with other accounting duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary degree or diploma required in a relevant field (Accounting, Finance, Operations etc.)
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or related experience
- Quick learner with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to consistently meet departmental deadlines
- Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, ERP, Accounting Software)
- Positive attitude with emphasis on teamwork, flexibility and problem solving.
