Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in our accounting practices. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a solid understanding of corporate finance principles. The Accounting Clerk will assist with accounts payable and receivable, account reconciliation, and support various financial operations within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Process and record accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately.
- Perform account analysis to ensure all financial data is correct and up-to-date.
- Conduct account reconciliation, including bank reconciliations, to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
- Assist in auditing processes by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for all financial transactions.
- Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Support budgeting efforts by providing relevant financial data and insights.
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage and Xero for efficient financial management.
- Prepare reports on financial performance as required by management.
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with corporate finance principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage and Xero.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, auditing, payroll, budgeting, and bookkeeping.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
