Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant – part/Full-Time
We are looking for a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant to join our friendly, dedicated team! As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service while supporting smooth day-to-day operations at our clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome clients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Manage incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and maintain the clinic calendar
- Handle client check-ins/check-outs, process payments, and maintain accurate records
- Perform general administrative duties including filing, data entry, and responding to emails
- Facilitate communication between clients, veterinarians, and support staff
- Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming
- Assist the veterinarian during exams, diagnostics, surgeries, and other clinical procedures
- Carry out duties and tasks as directed by the veterinarian
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by holding animals and preparing necessary instruments.
- Perform routine laboratory tasks, including collecting samples, conducting tests, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any changes to the veterinary staff.
- Maintain cleanliness in the clinic by cleaning cages, surgical areas, and examination rooms.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners regarding their pets' care and treatment plans.
- Assist in administering medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
- Help manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure that all equipment is properly sterilized.
