Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires a blend of administrative skills and a strong understanding of animal care, ensuring that both pets and their owners feel welcomed and supported during their visits.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the clinic.
- Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories, vaccination records, and billing information.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions.
- Assist veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and basic care as needed during examinations or procedures.
- Ensure the clinic is organized, clean, and stocked with necessary supplies to facilitate smooth operations.
- Assisting the veterinarian /technicians with anesthesia monitoring.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and veterinarians to support patient care through effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility is required.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing records, and handling payments.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
