Utility Coordinator
DSEL is seeking a bright and motivated individual to join our Utility department as a Utility Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and review of designs from various utility agencies including Hydro One, Hydro Ottawa, Bell, Rogers, Enbridge, Canada Post, and OC Transpo, and the preparation of Composite Utility Plans for Subdivision and Site Plan development projects.

Responsibilities:
- Work with AutoCAD and PDF software, supporting the drawing needs of the project manager
- Coordinate and review designs from various utility agencies
- Prepare Composite Utility Plans (CUP) to review interaction between various utility designs, civil servicing, grading, etc.
- Communicate conflicts/discrepancies with all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure conformance between various designs
- Measure quantities in AutoCAD for takeoff estimates
- Coordinate approvals from reviewing agencies (utilities, municipalities, conservation authorities)
Qualifications:
- CET designation and/or recent completion of an undergraduate civil engineering degree program
- Strong AutoCAD abilities and experience with Civil 3D
- Highly motivated, organized, and able to work well independently
- Proven ability to solve problems and to communicate ideas clearly in a technical and non-technical manner, both written and verbally
