YOUR ROLE
Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Safety Manager, the Facilities & Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day required setups & projects. Maintenance, installation & repair of all the Campus Head Office and Distribution Center (3 buildings) equipment. He performs daily maintenance operations and reacts appropriately as and when required by departments.
He uses the means of communication and the computer software’s (emails & Service Channel CMMS) in order to coordinate his work with his co-workers. In addition, it occupies a bridge position between the company and the employees in order to be able to respond to different installation, repair or maintenance requests.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES ;
Strategic (5%)
- Establish strong relationships with service providers (maintenance, security) to support and contribute to the development of the head office and distribution center.
- Maintain a network of consultants, suppliers, partners and other resources to support our operations.
- Create/maintain good channels of communication and coordination with internal/external partners
Operational (90%)
- Examine, filter and prioritize all tasks and projects according to the given schedules
- Responds to management requests
- Follow up and inspected everything relating to the maintenance of the installations
- Ensure that DC and HO are kept in good condition
- Help solve problems using the right resources and keeping the budget in mind
- Performs repairs to equipment, furniture and facilities.
- Installs the different department set-ups
- Help with the preparation of special events
- Support with transport/installation outside of the campus grounds, as needed (driver’s license required)
Leadership (5%)
- Complete the OGSTM goal.
- Complete of performance assessment and mid-year review and address marginal performance.
- Attend and/or Participate in Town Halls and CFO rendezvous twice a year.
- Participate at improving Aldo’s employee’s engagement by gaining an understanding of the key opportunities, prepare and execute plans to make Aldo a great place to work.
- Support volunteering activities by coordinating initiatives for our associates and be socially responsible.
- Adopting Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) practices consistent with Aldo’s policies and valuesWork in collaboration with Maintenance & Safety teams made up of 13 people (3 partners and 10 subcontractors)
THE REQUIREMENTS ;
- Be proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to think analytically, instinctively, and “outside the box.”
- Have a dynamic attitude, capable of encouraging and leading change.
- Possess strong risk analysis and communication skills.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times, while being personable and approachable – able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Have a high level of adaptability.
- Be bilingual in French and English to better communicate with all team members who speak both languages.
- Be comfortable using a computer, Outlook, Teams, and CMMS maintenance platforms.
- Have expertise in manual work and furniture assembly.
- Have good knowledge of builder equipment, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), and plumbing.
