Position Title: Maintenance Technician, Property Management
Reports To: Senior Manager, Property Management
Location: The Shops at Morgan Crossing, Surrey, BC
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist in operation and maintenance of all building systems and equipment, including but not limited to, HVAC, life safety systems, plumbing and electrical.
- Prompt and efficient response to all tenant, operations manager’s and PM requests.
- Upon being trained, perform simple preventative maintenance tasks with minimum supervision.
- Maintain vacancies in showable condition at all times.
- Observe as time permits, contractual work of vendors, report non-performance to Operations Manager.
- Participate physically in property landscaping, litter picking, snow removal and other exterior property maintenance tasks.
- Operate power equipment typically used in Property Maintenance such as: scissor lift, power washer, power blower, utility truck with trailer, etc.
- Operate hand tools typically used in Property Maintenance such as: cordless drill, box wrenches, vice grips, pipe wrench, etc.
- Maintenance painting and graffiti removal when required.
- Carry out Prism Building Inspections and log necessary information on Prism computer dashboard.
- Assist operations manager with monthly meter readings.
- Assist in seasonal display set ups and installation of holiday décor.
- Must be available to participate in “on call rotation”, work hours may vary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High School graduate preferred but not required.
- Positive, energetic, cooperative attitude
- Mechanically inclined person preferred.
- Some construction or trades knowledge preferred.
- Electrical and plumbing experience an asset.
- Desire to learn building operations and systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with tenants, supervisors and vendors.
- Computer literacy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
