WD Swim is hiring energetic and committed Swim/Aquatic Instructors for our Markham location! If you’re passionate about swimming and enjoy teaching others, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Swim/Aquatic Instructor, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, fun, and effective lessons for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. You’ll inspire confidence, build skills, and help create a positive learning environment in and around the pool.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach small group swim lessons (maximum 4 students per class)
- Deliver inclusive, engaging, and safety-focused aquatic programs
- Motivate and support swimmers of varying ages and abilities
- Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming pool environment
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for swimming, fitness, and working with people
- Experience teaching swim lessons (an asset, but not required)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification (required)
- Aquafit Instructor certification (a plus)
- Dependable, team-oriented, and adaptable
- Open to new instructors — full training provided!
Availability
- Evening shifts (Monday to Friday) and/or weekends (Saturday & Sunday)
- Flexible scheduling based on your availability
Hours
- Part-time: Up to 20 hours/week
- Full-time: 20+ hours/week
