Does a four day work week interest you (6:00 am to 4:30pm Mon-Thurs)? Are you mechanically inclined and / or do you have construction experience? Are you able to work out of town approximately 20% of the time?
We service, install and inspect operable walls, roll-up doors, playground equipment, physical education equipment, retractable stages and public seating systems. All our clients are school boards, universities/colleges, municipalities, or athletic facilities. All work is done on-site and all sites are non-smoking facilities hence we are only looking for non-smokers. We work a 35 - 44 hr week depending on schedule.
Requirements include:
(A) Completion of secondary school,
(B) Must have experience working with hand and power tools.
(C) Good driving record, must have had a Class G or greater license for a minimum of 4 years (clean driver’s abstract).
(D) Fluent English a must (spelling, and legible printing / writing are very important). Work can require either completion of handwritten service reports or, sometimes, entry on an iPad
(E) Attention to detail is important and the ability to stay focused on the task at hand,
and
(F) Physically fit as position requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs, carry a 20ft extension ladder, and work off scaffold/ladders/aerial work platforms at heights up to 35 ft.
Preference will be given to candidates with construction experience and/or a mechanical aptitude. There is out-of-town travel required. While out of town, hotel (2 men per room), service vehicle, and a $50.00 meal per diem per night are provided.
This Holland Landing area position is for someone who is looking for a long-term job. Wage range is $21.00 - $24.00 per hour. Wage to be reviewed upon completion of three-month probationary period and then again annually on the anniversary of the employee's start date.
