We are looking for a certified and experienced Swim Instructor to join our team! If you have a passion for water safety, swimming education, and enjoy working with students of all ages and skill levels, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver dynamic and engaging swim lessons for children and/or adults, ranging from beginner to advanced levels
- Ensure participant safety in and around the pool at all times
- Modify teaching techniques to accommodate various learning styles and individual needs
- Track student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance and goals
- Maintain a positive, clean, and safe pool environment
Requirements:
- Valid and current Swim Instructor Certification (e.g., Lifesaving Society, Red Cross, YMCA, or equivalent)
- Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification (must be current)
- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching swimming lessons
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to instruct all levels, including Parent & Tot, Preschool, School-Age, and Adult classes
- Patient, enthusiastic, and dedicated to student success
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lifeguard certification (e.g., National Lifeguard - NL)
- Experience teaching both private and group lessons
- Bilingual abilities (an asset, but not required)
