Lightspeed
$135,562 - $171,651 a year
Toronto, Ontario

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!

We're looking for a Staff Product Manager to join our Payments (Shared Services) team to build experiences and services that help drive the success of merchants across the globe. You will be responsible for overall team product direction and strategy which will involve frequent collaboration with customers and internal teams to help shape priorities and build the roadmap. This dynamic position requires the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple internal teams and stakeholders, be productive and adaptable in the face of evolving business priorities, and be able to take responsibility and ownership in coming up with solutions for our customers' pain points.

If you are a dedicated problem-solver and are ready to make a huge impact on an international scale, then this is the position for you!

What you'll be doing:

Crafting feature and scope definitions that balance customer, business and implementation perspectives

  • Gathering insights from our existing customer base, internal stakeholders, and market trends to help shape product direction
  • Creating easily understood product delivery plans and requirements in collaboration with technical and design team members
  • Driving implementation and execution of the team's roadmap
  • Contributing and evaluating new product concepts for consideration in future roadmap plans
  • Collaborating with Go-to-Market teams to coordinate successful product launches
  • Defining and reporting on product success
  • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Becoming the Product SME for the product offerings you own
  • Contributing as part of the wider team to achieve organizational objectives even if this means doing things that aren't strictly within the scope of your role

What you need to bring:

Successful candidates must have a proven product management track record in SaaS products at scale.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in product management, ideally within ecommerce, payments and/or SaSS products.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading cross-functional teams, driving product vision, and executing product roadmaps in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of articulating complex concepts to a diverse audience, including senior leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A deep passion for enhancing user experiences through technology, with a customer-centric approach to solving problems and delivering value.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to forge strong relationships across the organization, influence without authority, and lead teams toward shared goals and successful outcomes.
  • Expertise in product management and Agile/Scrum product development life cycles, as well as building and delivering high-quality software on time
  • A solid understanding of setting, measuring, and improving product success metrics
  • Familiarity working in parallel with multiple squads across different time-zones
  • Ability to lead client discovery, solutioning, and alignment conversations
  • Understanding of product strategy development and roadmapping tools

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • MBA
  • Understanding of payments, ecommerce, invoicing, and other products that are critical in retail merchant workflows
  • Retail and eCommerce industry experience

We know that people are more than what's on their CV. If you're unsure that you have the right profile for the role... hit the 'Apply' button and let's have a chat!
