About the Role:
As the Social Media Coordinator for our Summer Jobs Program, you will play a crucial role in advancing BLFA's mission and goals through strategic social media initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement a social media strategy aligned with BLFA's mission for various platforms
- Identify and engage with audiences interested in supporting charitable causes.
- Foster engagement by promptly responding to comments and messages.
- Utilize analytics to adjust content strategies and maximize audience reach.
- Create compelling content showcasing the impact of BLFA's programs.
- Manage social media platforms, emphasizing BLFA's humanitarian work.
- Foster a supportive online community and encourage engagement.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to plan and execute fundraising campaigns.
- Use analytics tools to measure campaign impact and share success stories.
- Stay informed about community needs and incorporate feedback into initiatives.
- Generate regular reports to demonstrate transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with partners and volunteers to amplify joint initiatives.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a recognized Canadian Post-Secondary institution, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in social media management, content creation and analytics tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Passionate about humanitarian work and community engagement.
- Ability to speak both French and English is an asset but not required.
- Located in Calgary, AB
About You:
(a) You are between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment
(b) You are a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or a person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act [S.C. 2001, c. 27], and
(c) You are legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations. International students are not eligible, but recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents.
