Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd., a proud member of the Carlson Construction Group, is seeking a Safety Manager with experience in Land, Marine, Subcontracts, or Mechanical disciplines to join our local team in North Vancouver. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and success of exciting upcoming projects, including major marine terminals, bridge foundations, and large-scale infrastructure upgrades that will shape the future of BC’s coastline and communities.

- Maintain safety records and monitor incident trends.
- Review documentation for accuracy and provide feedback.
- Support safety planning for new projects and conduct worker orientations.
- Lead safety training sessions and toolbox talks.
- Monitor compliance of workers and subcontractors; enforce safety regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
- Keep management informed of safety issues affecting project work.
- Promote and uphold safe working conditions across all sites.
- Minimum 5 years of field safety experience, preferably in industrial construction.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.
- Post-secondary education in a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Results-driven with strong organizational abilities.
- Willingness to work shifts and travel outside the Lower Mainland as needed.
- Preferred professional safety designation (e.g., CRSP, RCSO, CHSC, CSS, CIH, or ROH).
- Occupational First Aid Level 3 certification or willingness to obtain.
- Experience with BCCSA’s C.O.R. program and auditing processes.
- High personal, professional, and ethical standards.
- Initiative, sound judgment, and a proactive approach.
- Excellent relationship-building, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong prioritization and time-management skills.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the safety field.
- Competitive salary range: $80 -$120 per hour
