Rosedale Transport Edmonton Terminal is looking to hire an operations coordinator/ Dispatch
Work week: Monday to Friday (7:00 - 16:00)
Rate of pay: $58,000 - $65,000
Requirements:
- Previous operational experience working within the Transportation environment is an asset.
- Clear, concise communication skills-a strong attribute for being proactive with both internal and especially external customers.
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Planning, dispatching and manifesting loads (Ability to sort and organize pro bills logically for various destinations that is cost effective and efficient).
- Managing and assigning Pick Ups ensuring Rosedale service standards are met and freight moves in a timely fashion.
- Maintaining Dispatch and City Dispatch boards to ensure all work is actively being taken care of.
- Planning Maintenance and Truck Requirements .
- Setting up Trailers for Linehaul and advising of the Linehaul Tentative schedule-ensuring any issues are in progress to be dealt with in a timely fashion before Linehaul trucks are scheduled to move.
- Make suggestions, recommendations on improvements, taking a proactive position. Stay current with changes in the system and functions.
- Provide after-hours support as required - Occasional on-call may be required.
- Knowledge of warehousing, the transportation industry and Edmonton Area.
- Proficient computer skills and use of Truck-mate.
- Able to multi task in a busy environment, excellent communication and organizational skills
- Description:
- Respond to incoming calls or emails and provide required information.
- Greet customers/visitors as they arrive/leave
- Create paperwork and send to billing to be processed, manage interline/ outside carriers and review of PODs-reporting discrepancies as noted..
- Dispatching functions as required.
- Load Planning, booking appointments and assisting with maintenance schedules.
- Provide backup support for the Terminal and Operations Manager as required.
- Reviewing and approving Drivers Time/Trip Sheets.
