We are a rapidly growing transportation company seeking a professional Truck Dispatcher with proven, hands-on experience dispatching Flat-deck, Step-deck, Rolltites, and Low boy equipment. Only applicants with genuine, verifiable flat-bed dispatching experience will be considered. This is NOT a training role. Short courses or crash programs in dispatching do not meet the requirements for this position.
This role requires strong communications skills, attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
List of Responsibilities for dispatcher:
- Assign and coordinate loads for drivers across Canada and the U.S.
- Prepare and process customs documentation, E-Manifests, and packing lists using BorderConnect
- Enter and manage load information in Xpert dispatch software
- Answer and manage incoming calls and emails from drivers and customers
- Monitor driver progress and provide real-time updates to customers
- Collaborate with the dispatch team to resolve scheduling and routing issues
- Plan and arrange cost-effective and timely shipping routes
- Dispatch LTL and FTL pickups/deliveries within deadlines
- Monitor driver log sheets to ensure safety compliance
- Maintain accurate customer profiles and update changes regularly
- Monitor equipment maintenance to reduce operational costs
- Optimize equipment utilization
- Handle customer inquiries with strong logistics knowledge
- Prepare contracts, freight rates, and other required shipping documents
Requirements:
- Must be a team player
- Must be affluent in English (No Exceptions) - Affluence in Punjabi is an added asset
- Proficency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and QuickBooks
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
