Overview:
Load Warrior Logistics Ltd, a rapidly growing Same-Day general freight carrier, is seeking a skilled and dynamic Dispatcher to join our team in Chilliwack, BC. We operate across the Lower Mainland and Okanagan regions with a fleet of over 50 trucks, specializing in courier, palletized, and flat deck freight across vehicles of all size. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the primary dispatching board for all freight classes and assign them to fellow dispatchers by freight type.
- Coordinate and route same-day general freight deliveries efficiently as needed.
- Assist in managing driver schedules, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
- Communicate in real-time with drivers and customers to resolve issues and ensure deadlines are met.
- Utilize dispatch software to track and manage logistics and Microsoft 365 suite of programs, namely Outlook and Excel for analysis and communication.
- Handle and mitigate service failures, providing solutions on the fly.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate appointment times with receivers.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Preferred: Previous dispatching experience.
- Strong Asset: Experience with shipping and receiving.
- Required: Fundamental understanding of the layout of the Lower Mainland and volumetric spatial awareness.
- Skills:
- Excellent multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in real-time communication with drivers and customers.
- Previous experience with any dispatch software is an asset.
