Job Description
Overview:
As a member of the Marketing team, the New Home Online Sales Specialist will focus on increasing sales through prospecting and developing relationships with interested customers generated through our online channels.
The primary responsibilities will include prospecting and nurturing leads, monitoring and responding promptly to online customer inquiries, contacting prospects, with the goal of converting these leads by scheduling appointments. The New Home Online Sales Specialist provides exceptional customer service to existing and potential customers that results in a high level of customer satisfaction, while demonstrating respect and professionalism.
The successful candidate will attend weekly marketing meetings, sales meetings, and training in our office as well as regularly visit each of our sales centers in Edmonton and Calgary. They must have flexibility in their availability, and the primary work location(s) will vary as needed within the hours of 8am to 8pm and including weekends.

  • This is a hybrid role with typical hours being Monday – Wednesday 11am-8pm and Saturday/Sunday 8am-5pm.
Key Deliverables:
  • Utilize e-mail, phone, text, video and other technology to make connections with potential homebuyers. Enter and maintain contact data in Sales Force.
  • Seek out and be an active participant in online communities to support Brookfield’s core values and business proposition.
  • Communicate online with prospects. Respond to new leads, execute follow up to nurture leads in a timely manner (in real time).
  • Field incoming contact from website, email, phone calls, prospects, realtors etc.
  • Promote new Community and Homes offerings prior to opening, build interest list and urgency.
  • Share the community story while creating a call to action.

  • Identify prospect needs for qualification (the target monthly payment or price, lifestyle, family situation, home size, time frame, location and emotional hot buttons). Identify what stage they are at obtaining financing if required.
  • Obtain phone number and additional contact information to set up appointments with onsite Sales Team.
  • Build and maintain a good working relationship with the onsite Sales Team by communicating customers’ story and needs in order to transition the customer smoothly.
  • Identify lead workflow issues to the New Home Specialist Lead
  • Develop a comprehensive and regional understanding of the online channels as they pertain to BRP's Communities, Homes and customers;
  • Attend all scheduled sales meetings, marketing meetings, and training courses, community/homes events as required
  • Support onsite sales team with customer follow up after visits when appropriate, assist with next steps and follow up questions.
  • Work with the CRM (Salesforce and Hubspot) to document progress and communication.
  • Maintain weekly tracking report of new leads, follow up contacts.
  • Provide back up support on preparing/sending a weekly report on the online team’s metrics and anecdotal comments

What You'll Bring:
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with dedication and passion to creating the best customer experience.
  • Training in online sales and communication courses or an algined certificate, diploma or degree is preferred.
  • Active and professional customer facing user of social media or instant messaging programs.
  • Passion for sales and the customer experience.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce sales tactics, strategies, and policies preferred.
  • Experience in the homebuilding industry an advantage but not required.
