Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical environment. This role requires proficiency in handling multi-line phone systems, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient records with accuracy and confidentiality.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Manage incoming calls on multi-line phone systems, directing calls as necessary
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments while ensuring efficient use of time slots
- Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) with attention to detail
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history
- Assist with billing inquiries and process payments as required
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients
- Utilize software such as Epic and Dentrix for managing patient information and appointments
- Stay updated on medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the office
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is essential; experience with Epic or Dentrix is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology to enhance communication with patients and staff
- Previous experience in a dental office or medical office setting is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times
- Proficiency in general office procedures, including filing, data entry, and handling correspondence

Pay: $20.00 per hour
