Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.
Duties
- Process WSIB and Insurance Forms
- Handle incoming calls and book appointments
- Must have experience in OSCAR EMR
- Process patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
- Call patients with specialist appointments
- Retrieve results from hospitals and specialists
- Cover vacation and sick leave
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare environment.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, practically OSCAR
- Strong administrative skills, including office experience and managing front desk
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with patients, families, and staff members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00-$19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 6 per week
