Experienced Medical Office Administrator

We deliver patient-centred care across multiple disciplines, including family medicine, rehabilitation, and independent medical evaluations (IME). We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Office Administrator with strong knowledge of Accuro EMR software to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Medical Office Administrator will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a busy healthcare office. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical or family physician setting, exceptional organizational skills, and proven ability to work with Accuro EMR.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups using Accuro EMR
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient medical records
- Process OHIP billing and third-party invoices (insurance, WSIB, MVA, etc.)
- Greet and assist patients in a professional and compassionate manner
- Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Support healthcare providers by preparing charts, referrals, and forms
- Coordinate with specialists, pharmacies, and other healthcare professionals
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and reporting
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Medical Office Administration (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical office environment (family medicine or rehabilitation preferred)
- Proficiency in Accuro EMR software (required)
- Strong knowledge of OHIP billing and healthcare documentation standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and PHIPA compliance
