Overview: M-Thu alternating Tues-Fri (30-32 hours/week)
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office operations and exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Duties include:
-Greet patients/demographics intake
- OR booking
- Answer phone calls, triage calls.
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-ups
- Maintain electronic medical records accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- MSP and private billing
Skills:
- Proficiency in using phone systems to handle incoming calls efficiently
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (Plexia a plus)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and administrative procedures
- Strong organizational skills to manage office tasks effectively
-proficiency in keyboarding
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical office setting, preferably in ophthalmology or optometry is a plus
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care and patient procedures
Ophthalmic or other Specialty office experience is a plus but will train the right candidate. Opportunity for training on site.
**The right candidate will be comfortable with multi tasking and the ability to stay organized in a high patient volume setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
