Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dance Instructor that has experience working with exceptional children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, and possess the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves assisting the lead teacher by encouraging dancers to participate but also following their lead through what they are comfortable doing. Our main goal is for everyone to have a positive experience in a dance environment. The Assistant Dance Instructor will also be responsible for creating a positive learning atmosphere that encourages creativity, self-expression, and inclusivity for everyone in the room!
Tuesdays 7:00-8:00pm
Saturday 1:00-1:45pm
Responsibilities
- Ensure student are safe and having a positive experience
- Helping dancers achieve new goals through adapting movements and following the skills that interest them
- help create relationships with peers
- Provide individualized attention to students to support their growth and development in dance.
- Maintain a safe and organized studio space conducive to learning.
Requirements
- Have experience working with children with ASD and different exceptionalities
- Proven experience in teaching dance- Recreational or Competitive
- Experience working with children or adults in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to implement behaviour management techniques effectively.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles to support students' physical and emotional growth.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage students effectively.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
