Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily deli operations including food preparation, service, and merchandising.
- Train, schedule, and supervise deli team members to ensure excellent customer service.
- Actively engage with customers, answer questions, and upsell deli products and specials to boost sales.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are met.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation to minimize waste and maximize sales.
- Create attractive displays and contribute to deli recipes and menu ideas (sandwiches, salads, hot foods, grab-and-go items).
- Monitor department sales, costs, and margins to achieve targets.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of deli management or restaurant management experience.
- Strong knowledge of deli recipes, meats, cheeses, and fresh prepared foods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and health regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude.
- Proven ability to upsell products and train staff to do the same.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and coach staff.
- Flexible availability (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays).
- Positive, hands-on attitude and commitment to customer service.
Compensation & Benefits
- $22.00 – $27.00 per hour, depending on experience.
