Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deli Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a variety of deli products. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers have a positive experience by delivering high-quality food and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats and cheeses.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling additional products as appropriate.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including slicers and scales.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed to ensure availability of products.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Skills
- Experience in the kitchen or food industry is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential.
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is preferred.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurement and pricing of products.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated when needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 2 months
Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 32 per week
