Inspire Montessori School is a Montessori school in Markham. We are currently seeking experienced Daycare/Montessori Assistant teachers. Teaching Assistants must have experience in working with Pre-Casa (ages 15 months to 2.9) and Casa (ages 3-6), and be prepared to work alongside the Head Teacher and supervisor in a supportive team-teaching Montessori environment.
You will also be the dance teacher for our school. Dance lessons will need to be tailored to children between 3-6 and focus on movement, rhythm, hand eye coordination. Knowledge teaching Hip Hop dance will also be an asset.
We are currently looking for individuals that can work:
Staff that can work morning shift (7am to 4pm), late shift (9am to 6pm) or regular shift (8am to 4pm)
Responsibilities:
- Observe, guide, and assess students for skill development and understanding
- Conduct daily circle time that promotes learning and group discussion.
- Maintain open, positive and consistent communication with students’ parents
- Organize and take part in school events, excursions and school-wide initiatives that may take place after school hours.
- Keep the classroom clean and inviting by keeping materials organized and disinfecting daily.
- Passion for dance and experience teaching young children dance
- Minimum 1 year experience working in a Montessori with Pre-Casa or Casa aged students
- Experience in using electronic program planning and recording tracking is preferred.
- Knowledge of French an asset
- Knowledge of music (especially piano) an asset
We are looking for both Part Time, Casual and Full Time Assistants.

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 5 per week
