We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team in a role that combines front desk reception, administrative support, and bookkeeping. This position is ideal for someone seeking steady part-time hours during the school day, with full-time availability required in March and April during the busy tax season.
Hours
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm variable (approximately 10 to 25 hours per week) from May to February
- Full-time hours (Monday to Friday, approximately 37.5 hours per week) required during March and April
- In-office role, located in Edmonton
- Free parking on site and transit access directly in front of the office
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact at the front desk: phones, client reception, and scheduling
- Provide administrative support including filing, correspondence, scanning, and maintaining supplies
- Perform bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks Online: bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and GST filings
- Set up new clients in tax software and prepare initial tax file setup
- Support accountants with various tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and strong bookkeeping experience
- Solid skills with Microsoft Office and Teams
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Professional and friendly client-facing communication skills
- Experience in a public accounting firm environment or personal tax filing is an asset
