Job Description:
The Service Dental Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing dental equipment and related systems, both hardware and software. This role requires strong hands-on mechanical and electrical experience, along with the ability to work with computer-based dental technologies and support software integration. Also important is the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients in a caring professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and calibrate dental equipment including chairs, delivery systems, X-ray units, compressors, and sterilizers
- Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service on-site at dental clinics
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues
- Maintain accurate service records and submit detailed reports after each job
- Provide client training and support on the use of dental equipment and digital systems
- Collaborate with the technical and sales team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Stay up to date with manufacturer updates and training programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a dental service technician.
- Strong working knowledge of dental equipment (e.g. A-dec, Midmark, Belmont, Dentsply Sirona, etc.)
Mandatory Qualifications
- Solid IT background – able to troubleshoot networked devices, digital imaging systems, software installations, and firmware updates
- Strong problem-solving
- Good communication skills, and caring professional mannerisms
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to travel to customer sites within Manitoba
- Ability to lift 100lbs
