Dental Practice Administrator — Ottawa, ON (Bilingual Preferred)
Overview:
Our established general practice in Ottawa, Ontario, is hiring a Dental Practice Administrator to lead front office operations and elevate the patient experience. This role requires excellent communication across diverse patient populations; bilingual English/French is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Own front office operations: inbound calls, online/phone scheduling, confirmations/recalls, reception, treatment coordination, and estimates.
- Manage insurance and AR: eClaims/CDAnet submissions, payor reconciliation, overdue balances, and financial arrangements.
- Track and report KPIs (production, collections, AR aging, no-show rate, case acceptance).
- Lead and develop a front office team of 2–3; run stand-ups, training, and feedback loops.
- Optimize workflows in Eaglesoft, Dentrix, ClearDent, Tracker, or similar; ensure accurate records.
- Uphold compliance with infection-control protocols and applicable privacy legislation for health information. Collaborate closely with dentists and clinical leads to execute growth and service goals.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in Canadian dental office management or lead admin role.
- Bilingual (English/French) strongly preferred; able to explain treatment/financials clearly in both languages.
- Expertise in Canadian insurance, eClaims/CDAnet, predeterminations, and AR/collections.
- Proficiency with common dental PMS platforms and insurer portals.
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving; empathetic, professional patient communication.

Asset: familiarity with ODA fee guides and federal/provincial programs (e.g., CDCP).
Schedule:
Full-time, on-site. Typical weekday hours; flexibility for occasional evenings/Saturdays based on demand.
Compensation & Benefits:
- ~$30/hour CAD, negotiable for the right candidate.
