Rotation: 14 days on, 14 days off
Shift Length: 12 hours
Travel: Flight from airport closest to point of hire

Scope of work:
Innu Inuit Redpath Limited Partnership (IIR) is mining contractor that operates projects in 2 underground mines located on the east coast of Labrador, approximately 350 km north of Goose Bay. The work consists of building/ installing mine infrastructure such as high pressure doors, regulator walls, wash bays, maintenance bays, fuel bay, etc.

Job Summary:
The primary role of the Construction Surveyor is to provide the necessary control points for the installation of underground and surface infrastructure to ensure construction is completed as per the design drawings provided by the client project engineers, and to assist for maintaining the construction drawings with as built information.
- Surveying of underground development and infrastructure to support construction work
- The possibility of preparing development driving layouts and prints
- Conducting routine survey reporting
- Preparing of layouts and drawings required for construction crews
- Preparing of as-built drawings
- Maintaining of survey data
- Preparing and implementation of related procedures
- Consolidating survey data
- Specifying and ordering materials and supplies in support of operations and planned work associated with Surveying
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and site standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Diploma in Survey, Mining or Civil Technology/ Technician.
- Ontario Hard Rock Underground Common Core – Basic (or other provincial equivalent) (required)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience surveying in an underground mining environment
- Highly skilled in the use of modern survey technologies.
