Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Layout Person to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that construction projects are executed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams on-site.
Duties
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements for construction projects.
- Utilize surveying equipment to establish reference points and markers for construction work.
- Measure and mark locations for structures, foundations, and other construction elements.
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure alignment with project timelines and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify that work is being completed according to plans and standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting any layout discrepancies or issues that arise during the construction process.
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, layouts, and any changes made during the project.
Experience
- Proven experience in a construction layout role or similar position is preferred.
- Familiarity with surveying tools such as levels, theodolites, and total stations is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and stakeholders on-site.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
