Construction Surveyor - Competition #JCL099

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality projects that exceed our clients' expectations. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team as a Construction Surveyor. This is a project-based position located at Calibre Valentine Gold Mine located in central NL. The current rotation for this project is 14 days on and 7 days off.
Responsibilities
- Complete survey projects, such as establishing localized control, topographic surveys, non-legal boundary surveys, quality assurance as-builts, quantities and volumes, construction layout and return, and field grading stakeouts.
- Create and manage field survey files.
- Operate GPS equipment (Experience with Topcon is considered an asset) on civil / heavy industrial jobsites.
- Perform topographic surveys to determine volume quantities for progress billing.
- Verify existing and set new survey control as required.
- Calculate given elevations/measurements from drawings and perform layout.
Qualifications
- A relevant technical diploma
- Experience in construction surveying an asset.
- Proficient with GPS & Total Stations
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Familiar with Civil construction plans. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the construction and drafting/survey industry.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driver’s abstract.
