At Code Ninjas Sherwood Park, we empower kids ages 5-14 years to become creators of technology through fun, engaging programs in Coding, Robotics, Game Design, and STEM. We offer after-school programs (CREATE & JR), Camps, Workshops, Field Trips, Birthday parties, and more.
We’re looking for a smart, energetic, and community-connected individual to join our team as our Community Outreach & School Engagement Coordinator — someone who’s passionate about education, loves connecting with schools and families, and can help grow our presence in Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, and surrounding communities.
Role Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building relationships with local elementary and junior high schools, introducing our programs, and driving engagement through outreach, marketing, and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with local school principals, teachers, parent councils (PAC/PSA), and district contacts
- Promote Code Ninjas programs (CREATE, JR, Camps, Workshops, Field Trips, etc.) through presentations and events
- Schedule and host school visits, community booths, and open house events
- Organize and execute outreach campaigns to families and local organizations
- Collaborate with our internal team on marketing materials, flyers, and outreach content
- Represent Code Ninjas at local community events, expos, and fairs
- Track outreach activities and report on performance and engagement metrics

- Are comfortable with public speaking and can pitch ideas clearly
- Can work flexible hours, including some evenings/weekends for events
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in school outreach, marketing, education, or community engagement
- Knowledge of the local education system and/or prior connections with EIPS & EICS schools is a huge plus
- Familiarity with programs like Code Ninjas, Robotics, STEAM clubs, or after-school programs is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to transportation
