En tant que responsable de l’engagement communautaire (REC), vous serez le visage de notre organisation dans les communautés rurales que nous desservons dans la région du SagLac. Votre rôle consistera à établir des partenariats locaux significatifs, à soutenir le déploiement de la fibre et à créer une présence forte et durable qui reflète notre engagement envers les personnes et les lieux que nous connectons.

Vous développerez un lien de confiance avec les élus municipaux, les organismes communautaires, les petites entreprises et les résidents, tout en veillant à ce que notre marque soit comprise, respectée et soutenue. Vous collaborerez étroitement avec les équipes des ventes, du marketing et de la direction locale pour favoriser la croissance de la clientèle et assurer une présence communautaire efficace, respectueuse et adaptée aux valeurs locales.

À noter : La maîtrise du français est requise pour interagir avec les communautés locales. La maîtrise de l’anglais est également exigée pour les communications internes et les rapports avec nos équipes nationales situées hors du Québec. Cette exigence bilingue est liée à nos besoins opérationnels et à notre structure organisationnelle.

Job Title: Community Engagement Manager
Location: Alma, Quebec (Remote + Local Travel)
Reports to: VP, Product & Marketing

About the Role

As a Community Engagement Manager (CEM), you will be the trusted face of our organization in the rural communities we serve across the SagLac region of Quebec. Your role is to build meaningful local partnerships, support fiber rollout efforts, and create a strong and lasting presence that reflects our commitment to the people and places we connect.

You will foster trust with municipal leaders, community organizations, small businesses, and residents while ensuring that our brand is understood, respected, and supported. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and General Managers to support customer growth while making sure our community presence is respectful, effective, and aligned with local values.

Key Responsibilities

· Build trust-based relationships with municipal officials, community leaders, local businesses, and residents.

· Identify and partner with local businesses to generate referrals through commission-based incentive programs.

· Develop and execute community engagement plans tailored to each area, including event participation, sponsorships, and outreach strategies.

· Represent the company at local events and public gatherings, coordinating materials, giveaways, and promotional activities.

· Recruit and support community champions by providing lawn signs, flyers, personalized URLs, and other engagement tools.

· Support Sales and Marketing efforts by pre-warming neighborhoods, sharing local knowledge, and aligning field presence.

· Maintain regular communication with internal teams and serve as the local voice in company strategy discussions.

· Gather real-time public sentiment on our brand, service, and customer experience through informal interviews, check-ins, and event interactions.

· Report community feedback and brand sentiment regularly, including monthly summaries of insights, issues, and local needs.

· Proactively identify and escalate misinformation, concerns, or local resistance to ensure quick resolution and responsiveness.

Ideal Candidate

· 5+ years in community engagement, public affairs, outreach, grassroots marketing, or a related field.

· Strong understanding of the Outaouais region’s rural and municipal communities.

· Experience working closely with Francophone communities in Quebec.

· Background in telecom, public utilities, real estate, or community services is considered an asset.

· Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project management skills.

· Self-starter comfortable working remotely while regularly visiting communities.

· Fluency in French is required; fluency in English is also required for internal communications.

· Execution and effectiveness of community engagement plans.

· Event participation and lead generation.

· Champion recruitment and activity level.

· Frequency and quality of community sentiment reports.

· Identification and resolution of local issues or concerns.

Working Conditions

· Remote role with regular travel throughout assigned territory (maximum 2-hour travel span).

· Company-provided vehicle for local business travel.

· Flexible schedule to accommodate events and meetings, including evenings and weekends.

· Travel expenses and engagement activity budgets provided.
