Under the direction of Vice President, Equipment & Facilities, the Caretaker is responsible for various up-keep and maintenance duties such as general cleaning, floors, emptying trash cans, minor maintenance and other tasks as required.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning at all Strathmore facilities.
- Perform weekly cleaning including bathrooms, floors, high touch surfaces and garbage removal.
- Perform annual deep cleaning of walls, reachable windows and cupboards.
- Perform yard maintenance and shoveling at crew houses as needed.
- Steam clean furniture as needed.
- Restocking and maintenance of supplies (toilet paper, paper towel, soap etc.) and regular cleans.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills, along with dependability.
- Participate in training and development activities.
- Other related duties as required.
- Capable of getting from location to location.
- Flexible weekends/Wednesday evenings/1-2 weekdays, 6-8hr shifts/24-30hrs per week.
- Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
- Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
- Previously worked in a caretaking environment.
- Independent, reliable, and dependable.
- Flexible and able to adapt to change.
- Self-starter, organized, able to prioritize and multitask.
- Able to work with limited direction, or independently to complete work.
