We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Building Caretaker to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and overall upkeep of a residential condominium building. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who takes pride in their work and is ready to take full ownership of their responsibilities.
The successful candidate will carry out a combination of cleaning, light maintenance, and administrative tasks. Please note: this role includes the cleanup of dog waste in exterior common areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections of all common areas (interior and exterior)
- Clean and maintain lobbies, hallways, elevators, glass surfaces, garbage rooms, and bins
- Remove pet waste from outdoor common areas as needed
- Keep resident bulletin boards current
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues such as leaks to minimize damage
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial janitorial or building maintenance
- Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
- Highly organized with solid record-keeping abilities
- Physically capable of being on your feet for extended periods, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting wage: $24.00 per hour
