Job Overview
We are currently seeking a responsible, reliable, and community-minded Resident Caretaker to live on-site and help maintain a well-kept and smoothly run 32-unit apartment building "Riverside Estates" in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a rental apartment setting and familiarity with basic repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building Maintenance & Repairs: Coordinate with tradespeople for general repairs, maintain a log of building issues, and perform minor tasks.
- Cleaning & Upkeep: Regular cleaning of common areas including hallways, lobby, laundry room, and exterior walkways.
- Resident Relations: Act as a friendly point of contact for residents while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Unit Showings & Move-Ins/Outs: Assist with showing available units, coordinating move-ins/outs, and conducting suite inspections as needed.
- Emergency Response: Be available to respond to building emergencies or urgent issues outside regular hours.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in property caretaking or cleaning preferred
- Basic knowledge of building mechanical and operational systems
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Must be trustworthy, dependable, and able to work independently
Compensation:
$1,450 per month, extended health and dental benefits.
