Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Cafe Staff to join our team. As a vital part of our cafe, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve food and beverages according to established recipes and standards
- Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, for processing customer transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cafe area, including kitchen equipment and dining spaces
- Assist with food handling and ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations in the cafe
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and food service is preferred
- Proficiency in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus, along with familiarity in the food industry
- Ability to maintain sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas
- You MUST have a valid drivers license. As there is no bus route to get to this location.
- Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team
