This role sits within Laurentian Bank.

The mandate of the role is to market B2B Bank Mortgages to all licensed Mortgage Brokers within an assigned territory. The incumbent will seek out new business opportunities and continue to build positive relationships with existing mortgage brokers to sell and promote B2B Bank mortgage products.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain positive business relationships with Mortgage Brokers and Mortgage Agents through the sale of mortgage products, broker/agent satisfaction, and retention of accounts.

Follow and maintain a defined sales strategy based on activities and proper database management

Identify business opportunities with respect to increasing sales in their region including the identification of potential new broker/agent relationships.

Prepare, coordinate and present sales presentations and proposals to new and existing brokers and agents.

Attend and promote the Bank's mortgage products at industry Trade Shows, Conferences, and Promotional Events.

Accountable for achieving and reporting sales activity targets for the regions.

Manage territory expenses and accountable for overall budget.

Achieve Key Result Areas as required for the role.

Related administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

University Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of mortgage sales experience or College Diploma in a related field and 7 to 10 years of mortgage sales experience.

Knowledge of mortgage products, CMHC and Genworth policies and mortgage underwriting guidelines.

Along with in depth mortgage sales experience, an established network of mortgage brokers and agents within Montreal South and Surrounding Area.

Polished presentation skills.

Customer focused, adept at building client relations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Energetic and outgoing.

Self starter who can work with minimal supervision.

Ability and meet deadlines.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

Familiarity with 5S, Kaizen Principles, Six Sigma or other Continuous Improvement methodologies is an asset.

Bilingual* (French/English) verbal and written communication skills are required.
