Role Summary
The Business Development & Marketing Assistant plays a key support role in driving company growth through market intelligence, brand communication, and administrative coordination. This individual assists the Business Development Manager and Sales team in delivering high-quality client engagement materials, managing CRM tools, tracking leads, and ensuring consistent brand messaging. They act as a bridge between business development, marketing, and operations with an eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.
Core Responsibilities Sales Support
- Coordinate and prepare prequalification packages, proposals, and presentations tailored to target clients and industry sectors.
- Maintain and update CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Monday.com) to ensure data accuracy and timely follow-up.
- Assist in the preparation of client research, opportunity tracking, and competitor analysis.
- Monitor bid platforms and project databases for potential opportunities.
Marketing Coordination
- Support the development of marketing collateral, case studies, and project portfolios.
- Manage social media accounts in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to ensure consistent, engaging content aligned with core values.
- Assist in updating the website and digital campaigns.
- Coordinate internal newsletters, announcements, and project updates.
Event & Client Engagement
- Assist in planning, organizing, and attending industry events, tradeshows, and client meetings.
- Track client touchpoints and ensure timely follow-ups and personalized communication.
- Maintain marketing materials inventory and promotional items for events.
Administrative Support
- Schedule business development meetings, track key dates, and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
- Maintain organized folders for project and proposal files.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (Estimating, Operations, HR) to ensure alignment in messaging and branding.

Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in marketing or business development (construction or related industry preferred).
- Familiarity with construction terminology, sales cycles, and proposal development is a strong asset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
