About the Role
Are you self-motivated, persuasive, and eager to prove yourself in sales? Mill Creek Painters is looking for a Business Development Contractor to help grow our residential and commercial painting services across Alberta.
You’ll generate new business through cold calls, emails, in-person visits, and networking — focusing on commercial property managers, home builders, retirement residences, and homeowners. This is an opportunity to learn sales, earn great commission, and grow into a long-term role with benefits and company incentives.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Cold calling and emailing leads
- Visiting commercial and residential properties
- Building lead lists from local businesses, builders, and retirement communities
- Logging and tracking all outreach in our CRM
- Meeting weekly with a sales manager for support and feedback
- Quoting jobs (with support) and closing new clients
What We’re Looking For
- A motivated self-starter who wants to learn and earn
- Comfortable speaking to people face-to-face and on the phone
- Coachable, organized, and willing to prospect daily
- Owns a vehicle and a smartphone
- Bonus if you’ve done door-to-door, real estate, solar, or construction sales
Ideal For

Additional Information
- This role is based in Edmonton and requires you to work in the field throughout the city and surrounding areas. You must reside in Edmonton or nearby and have access to a vehicle for local travel.
- You will also be required to work from our Leduc office periodically for team meetings, coaching, and training sessions. Frequency will depend on onboarding progress and business needs.
- This is an independent contractor position. If you’re not already set up as a contractor, we can help guide you through the process (business registration, invoicing, etc.). No special licenses are needed — just motivation and a willingness to learn.
