Asphalt Crew Members
All Type Paving Inc. has been servicing Hamilton and the surrounding areas for over 20 years. We are looking to expand our team and hire paving crew members.
Experience is preferred however, most asphalt crew members learn through on-the-job training. We are seeking individuals with basic knowledge of hand tools. Asphalt crew members need to have the physical ability required to lift up to 45lbs. Proficient coordination between their hands, eyes, and feet is required to guide tools and equipment in situations where precision is required. Good depth perception and mechanical aptitude are desirable.
Great compensation is offered for experienced crew members. Jobs must be completed when the weather permits, so inclement weather such as rain may occasionally prevent asphalt crews from working. Opportunity for growth for hard workers.
- Full G license is mandatory
- 3 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
Compensation:
Asphalt crew members are paid an hourly wage weekly starting at $22/hour plus 4% vacation pay.
Responsibilities and duties include:
● Assist in removal, preparation and installation of asphalt for parking lots and driveways
- Collect small asphalt chunks left behind from heavy machinery
- Cleaning up job sites
- Assist in finishing the grade with material such as stone or asphalt
- Use hand compaction tools
- Cleaning and prepping tools as needed
● Assist in unloading the truck and loading up tools/equipment in a safe and secure manner
Requirements
● Work as part of a team and in different outdoor environments
● Ability to lift up to 45lbs
● Good attitude
● Full G license mandatory and 3 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
● Safety boots/Steel toe boots
● Good communication skills
