Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Asphalt Roller Operator to join our paving crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating rollers to compact asphalt to the proper density and finish, ensuring a smooth and even surface.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate steel drum and pneumatic rollers to compact and finish asphalt
- Monitor compaction quality and adjust techniques as needed
- Coordinate with the paving operator and ground crew for efficient workflow
- Perform daily equipment inspections and minor maintenance
- Follow safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues
- Ensure smooth transitions and consistent compaction throughout the job site
Qualifications
- Minimum 3/5 years of experience operating an asphalt roller (preferred)
- Understanding of asphalt compaction techniques and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license (DZ or AZ is an asset)
- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude
