- Providing Procurement support for all programs and purchasing at Magellan Winnipeg; including Fly-away Product, Capital, Tooling and Consumable materials
- Maintaining and managing required skill and process knowledge levels within the procurement team;
- Collaborating with Supply Chain management team, along with cross-functional Magellan Winnipeg management team members;
- Providing daily management support of procurement team, composed of Strategic and Operational Buyers;
- Promoting a positive team environment and growing employee engagement
- Supporting sourcing activities to maintain on-time delivery and drive purchase cost reductions;
- Promoting and driving incorporation of new processes/technology to improve team efficiency;
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline; eg. MBA, Bachelor Business Admin, Finance, Supply Chain Management, CIM (minimum of 8 years as a Buyer in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment is considered equivalent to a degree). Designations such as CPIM, SCMP, CPP would be seen as a beneficial.
- 10-15 years experience in a purchasing related position in the aerospace industry. With 3-5 years previous management experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of, and experience with, standard office equipment and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organization, collaboration and follow-up skills.
