We are currently searching for a Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This is a full-time position at our Head Office location in South Edmonton.

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Administrator will be responsible for managing employee transactions including our recruitment and onboarding processes, status changes, maintenance of employee records, benefits administration and providing support to all other functional areas of HR as well as backup to Payroll.

What You Bring to the Role:
- Diploma or Degree in the field of Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields is an asset.
- 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources / Human Resources administration preferred.
- Working knowledge of employment laws.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and HRIS/ATS software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to confidently represent the organization at job fairs and other employment related events.
- Proven organization and time management skills.
- High level of discretion and sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive data.
- Good analytical skills, problem-solving and judgment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Recruitment administration including creating and maintaining job postings, reviewing resumes, phone screening, assisting with interviews, and conducting reference and background checks.
- Coordinate onboarding with hiring managers, including initiating and processing new hire paperwork to ensure a smooth transition for new employees into the organization.
- Represent the organization at job fairs and employer spotlight events, building strategic connections to expand the candidate pool and promote the organization's employment opportunities.
- Create employee letters, including job changes, employment letters, or other communications necessary by email or letter.
- Perform a variety of HR administrative duties, including maintaining records, creating employee files, benefits administration, reporting and supporting day-to-day HR operations.
- Provide back-up support to Payroll. This will include timekeeping entries and adjustments and payroll processing, on an as-needed basis.
- Visit company job sites to ensure an HR presence, gather employee feedback, and address employee questions.
- Assist HR Manager with employee relation items and workplace investigations.
- Other HR tasks and projects as assigned.
