Description
The Director, Product Research and Development, provides strategic input and product design recommendations on new product development initiatives and contributes significantly to identifying industry trends and evolving client needs. This role contributes and sometimes leads efforts to gather inputs from across IA Wealth and IAFG and leverages a solid understanding of complex analysis while deploying judgement on moderate to complex business problems.
Your Day to Day

Strategic (30%)
- Contribute to the product development and product pricing strategy across IAW, exploring new ways to design and deliver investment solutions to meet the evolving needs of advisors and investors Provides recommendations on the strategic elements of product development initiatives
- Identify industry trends and evolving client needs, and researching new product ideas
- Data analysis of iA Wealth advisors trends to inform to product development initiatives
- Develop relationships with functional groups within iA Wealth, and representing team on specific projects and issues with internal stakeholders.
- Significantly contributing to iA Wealth advisory committees

Tactical (50%)
- Draft initial product design and pricing recommendations, work closely with investment teams and key business partners to finalize
- Contribute significantly into pricing reviews and recommendations to ensure competitiveness.
- Conduct complex analysis and reporting on product and industry trends and iA Wealth sales.
- Assist in the mentoring and development of associates and senior associates.
- Mentor associates and senior associates.

Transactional (20%)
- Support other iA Wealth product team initiatives on a regular basis.
- Act autonomously on most decisions.
What You Have
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies.
- Bachelor’s and graduate degrees in business, accounting, finance, or related fields.
- CFA charter holder or equivalent accreditation.
- Extensive knowledge in one or more specific industry segments.
- Viewed as a senior specialist in area of concentration and contributes to discussions with other functional areas.
