Requirements: Bachelor of Education - Elementary Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- child-centered approach to instruction and building positive teacher-student relationships.
- experience in, or passion for, Music instruction for young children
- effective organizational skills and classroom management
- knowledge of primary curriculum
- skilled in differentiating instruction
- knowledge of designing and implementing Individualized Program Plans for students with special needs
- ability to lead, manage and coordinate Educational Assistants in their support roles
- ability to liaise and work with district FMPSD Education Department, Coordinators and Consultants
- ability and commitment to work with school and division colleagues in professional learning activities
- ability to establish productive relationships with staff and parents
- commitment to continuous professional growth
- commitment to Assessment for Learning model
- commitment to learning and supporting Leader in Me education model
- willingness to participate in the school community beyond the classroom
- knowledge of school vision, and mission goals
